SERIOUS PROBLEMS IN PREGNANCY

All pregnant women always hope that their pregnancy has no serious problems, but sometimes it can happen. It is important to know what is it, here some of the serious problems in pregnancy.

  • Hiperemesis Gravidarum
  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Pre-Eclampsia ( High blood pressure because of pregnancy )
  • Severe Itching and Obstetric Cholestatis

Hiperemesis Gravidarum

What is it?

This is the plentiful of feeling sick in the morning, maybe happens to less than1 from 200 pregnancies. Hiperemesis gravidarum or the plentiful of feeling sick in pregnancy usually happens to pregnant woman in first pregnancy, the pregnant woman who pregnant with more than one embryo and the pregnant women who have got it in their pregnancy before. Physiologist’s stress can be the reason, also the center of sick in brain, which is look different from one person to the other person.

The sign and symptom

Feeling sick in the early pregnancy look more often and longer than before, even until full of nine month. Usually this condition is more reliable in the last of first trimester. It can make dehydration and make a dangerous for both mother and baby’s health.

Take care

In the reliable conditions can solve with diet plan, take a rest, and take the medicine to decrease the sickness like antacid. But if the sickess grows continuously and the weight of body decreased, maybe need to take a rest in the hospital.

Vaginal bleeding

If you have vaginal bleeding at any time in pregnancy, you must be careful, it can be danger signal. Inearly pregnancy, bleeding may be asign of an ectopic pregnancy or amiscarriage, althoughmany women who bleed at this timego on to have normal and successfulpregnancies. Bleeding in fifth months and more can be a sign that the placenta isimplanted in the lower part of theuterus (placenta praevia) or that ithas started to separate from theuterus (placental abruption). Both of those conditionscan be dangerous for you andthe baby. If you have bleeding with pain too besides both conditions, you must contact your doctor immediately, don’t be late.

The cells on the surface of the cervix often change in pregnancy and make it more likely to bleed, particularly after intercourse. This condition called cervical erosion. Vaginal infections can also cause a small amount of vaginal bleeding. Some causes of vaginal bleeding are more serious than others, so it’s important to find the cause straight away. The most common sort of bleeding in late pregnancy is the small amount of blood mixed with mucus, known as a ‘show’. This is a sign that the cervix is changing and becoming ready for labour to start. It may happen a few days before contractions start or during labour itself. You must contact your doctor immediately if that is occurs.

Severe Itching and Obstetric Cholestatis

Itching is very common in normal pregnancy, but severe generalised itching, without a rash, particularly in the last four months of pregnancy, may be the only sign of an uncommon condition called obstetric cholestasis. This conditions a potentially dangerous liver disorder which seems to run in families, although it can occur without any family history. It is necessary to contact your doctor if you have troublesome itching because obstetric cholestasis may lead to premature labour, stillbirth or serious health problems for the baby, and to an increased risk of maternal haemorrhage after the delivery.

Pre-Eclampsia ( High blood pressure because of pregnancy )

During pregnancy your blood pressure will be checked at every antenatal appointment. This is because a rise in blood pressure can be the first sign of a condition known as pre-eclampsia – often called pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) or pre-eclampsia(PE) – which can run in families and affects 5% to 10% of pregnancies. But no one knows why pre-eclamsia usually happens in the first pregnancy? Your urine will also be checked for protein. If you do have pre-eclampsia, you will probably feel perfectly well. Some women experience symptoms such as headaches, visual disturbances, swelling and abdominal pain. Pre-eclampsia can still be severe, however, without any symptoms at all. Although most cases are mild and cause no trouble, it can get worse and be serious for both mother and baby. It can cause fits in the mother (eclampsia) and affect the baby’s growth, and belief-threatening if left untreated. That is why routine antenatal checks are so important. Pre-eclampsia usually happens towards the end of pregnancy, but problems can occur earlier. Rarely, it can happen after the birth. The earlier in pregnancy it starts, the more severe it is likely to be. If it does get worse, the treatment ranges from rest at home or in hospital to drugs to lower the high blood pressure or, occasionally early delivery of the baby.
